Jakarta Extends BBNKB and Vehicle Tax Penalty Waivers Until the End of 2025

The Jakarta Provincial Government through Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), is once again providing an incentive in form of administrative sanction waivers for Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Vehicle-Ownership Transfer Fee (BBNKB).

This incentive policy applies to tax principal payments made from November 10 to December 31, 2025.

The policy is regulated through Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency Head Decision No. e-0104/2025 on Waiver of Administrative Penalties for Motor Vehicle tax (PKB) and Vehicle-Ownership Transfer Fee (BBNKB) by Official Authority.

The main provision of this incentive policy is that the late payment penalties for PKB and BBNKB are fully waived. Moreover, no application is needed since the waiver is automatically applied through the regional tax system.

According to Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency Head, Lusiana Herawati, this policy is a form of stimulus to encourage greater tax compliance among residents, and also reflects the government's commitment to easing tax burdens and promoting better compliance.

"We hope residents will take full advantage of this policy. In addition to providing tax relief, Jakarta Bapenda continues to improve service convenience and accessibility," she stated, on Monday (11/10).

To make the payments easier, taxpayers can choose from various payment points including Main Samsat Office, Samsat Service Points, Mobile Samsat Service, or via National Digital Samsat (SIGNAL) app.
